• (Working) Papers must be original, unpublished works, and they must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere (For any inquiries regarding exemption, please contact the Symposium Organizing Committee).

• Language of submission: English or Vietnamese  

Notes:  

  1. Please omit any information that identifies the author(s) such as names, citation, etc., from your submitted files to allow for blinded review
  2. If you wish your paper to be considered for publishing in our Special Issues, please send us an English submission. 
  3. Authors will choose to attend VES 2023 in person or virtually by the time of registration in January and February, 2023.

• Submission type: Working paper of 1,500 - 2,000 words (excluding references)

• File type: doc, docx, etc. After your files are uploaded, the system will convert the documents to pdf files for review

• Submissions must include an abstract (200-250 words), introduction, theoretical framework/ literature review, methodology, and references. 
Recommended/ Optional: (preliminary) findings, discussion, and/or conclusion 

• Font: Times New Roman; size 12; single spacing 

• Reference: APA 7th Edition Style 

TOPICS

The VES 2023 Organizing Committee would like to suggest below some major topics for discussion. We also welcome papers related to more than one topic and those not associated with any, but still connected to the symposium’s central theme of reconceptualization and transformation of early childhood education.

1.         Physical and mental health for teachers and children as an ecosystem

2.         Law on child protection: past and present, Vietnam and the world

3.         Neuroscience and early childhood education  

4.         Innovation for early childhood education (language, games, art, technology...)

5.         Early childhoode ducation in Vietnam and developing countries: A potential market and risks of education commercialization?

PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES 

High-quality papers will be invited to submit full papers to English Special Issues with Policy Futures in Education (Q2), Journal of Science - HNUE, and Vietnam Journal of Education, Ministry of Education and Training.
